We built a filament winder so that way we would not have to manually wind the extruded filament because manually winding it was extremely inefficient. As a result, we built this autonomous winder that needs minute guidance so that way the filament can just simply conform to the shape of the spool

Trials

We conducted various trials by implementing different variables in order to perform a DOE. The factors were: heat, motor speed, and height. In doing these trials, the goal was to find the ideal setting to attain the desired filament which is based on consistency.
